Since winning the Initiate Start-up Award in 2017 in Amsterdam, we have closed two rounds of funding and are working with 5 network and system operators across 3 continents.

At the end of this year we are going for the first commercial trading so quite a journey with the transactive grid. This will be the first deal with physical flows and paid trading fees.

Attending the Young Talent Program as a Brand Ambassador gave me the opportunity to connect with individuals and companies shaping smart energy of the future.

As a result of connections I made at EUW, a European company even hired me as an independent consultant.

Solcast recently participated in the !Initiate start-up pitch program at Asian Utility Week in Kuala Lumpur. It was an excellent and well-organised show and put our solar irradiance forecasting and historical data in front of 100's of organisations and many thousands of attendees. It was a smashing success and a great opportunity for Solcast to update Asia on the latest developments in our solar data products.
